Welcome to the web site page for the
Nashville TN Tri-Delta Alumnae Chapter!

March 2008

Welcome to the Nashville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Delta Delta web site page!  It is packed full of vital information pertaining to our local area chapter.  Regardless if you are new to Nashville or have lived here all your life, you will be connecting with many Delta sisters in ways that you least expect.

This 2007-08 year, our theme is to connect with each alumna, be it through our events, e-mail, newsletter, web site page, career networking, InCircle or word of mouth.  Already, your alumnae officers have met and discussed ways to reach out even more to alumnae living in the Nashville area.  We will provide more ways to connect through our quarterly e-newsletter so be sure to get on our distribution list.

With you and your busy schedules in mind, we have planned a great year of two BIG events and two informal events.  Mark your calendar for Founder’s Day (Fall), Pansy Brunch (Spring), Alliance Day (new to town or young alum held August 29th) and Wear your Badge Day (March 3, 2008). All of our energy will go into planning and hosting these events so please honor us with your attendance.

Membership dues are now due and are one important way to connect with usClick here to pay your dues online.  Our membership numbers declined three years ago where we went from #3 in the nation to #10 re: alumnae chapter members.  We saw a significant improvement in last year’s dues paying membership; however, we still need your participation.  With over 1,000 Tri Deltas in the Nashville area (including Davidson, Williamson, Rutherford, Robertson, Wilson, Sumner, & Cheatham), to have only 110 alumnae members pay dues provides much room for improvement. On March 6th, we will host a membership drive only we are calling it a FriendDrive!

Aside from dues, there are other ways for you to connect with Delta Delta Delta regardless of the season in your life (new baby, empty nest, moving, etc…).  Tips for connecting with Delta Delta Delta as mentioned in the Winter issue 2007 of The Trident emphasize the importance of simply taking the time to connect.  Examples include:

  • Send a holiday card to a Delta sister
  • Plant pansies
  • Join an InCircle group (It’s free)
  • Update your mailing address with Executive Office’s database manager Nelda LeCompte NLeCompte@trideltaeo.org
  • Call a Delta sister or better, meet for lunch
  • Write a reference for a prospective member
  • Attend an alumnae chapter event

This year, we are throwing down a challenge for each alumnae to reach out to three sisters that you have never met before (easily done if you attend one of our events), share a Tri Delta experience, and reconnect with a superb group of women that will reinforce why you made a lifelong commitment to this fraternity.

Question is will you reach out and connect with us?

In the Bonds,

Your 2007-08 Alumnae Officers
